This is why you don't let people who know nothing of cars design car ads. I shall be going to the dealer tomorrow with this in hand and trying to purchase a monogram FR-S for $22K.

Check again.

Be careful of that little *
Can be a bitch...

Whats a monogram FR-S? Is it like when they put your initials on the doors just above the handle like you see so often on Camrys?
![]() 02/01/2014 at 23:51 |
|
It's a limited edition FR-S with the more upscale BRZ interior, JDM headlights, and a few other goodies

Make sure you have that printed out. They generally have to honor it...and whoever made the image will probably lose their job.

They reversed it pretty quick, can't hurt to try though

They only honour things like if they know the PR shit storm is going to cost them more. You can try put this under 'bait and switch' but the official Scion site has the correct price on it.

Yep, I fully don't expect for it to work, but it's not going to stop me from trying.

Well shit. I really want an FR-S, but I never knew they were that much! I just went and did the build your own for the first time and mine came out at almost 30 grand! Hell I was looking at $25,000 low mileage C5Z's thinking that was the top of the line I was going to spend. I wonder what kind of vette I can get for 30 large now.

It's been fixed.
Anyhow, it'd be nice to have the JDM HIDs as well as the BRZ's dual-zone A/C and toggle switches. Wonder if the Monogram Series will sell faster than the Sc10n Edition...

Awesome man! I totally hope you get a car at a lower price because of an honest mistake and a technicality! Maybe you can cost someone their job too! Wouldn't that just be swell?
![]() 02/02/2014 at 00:05 |
|
Honestly, their job was pretty much gone when that ad went live, and I have no moral qualms about using a technicality for my benefit.

If you can get it you will be my hero

That's why I ended up buying my own FR-S used. But for this price, I'm pretty sure I could trade in at zero cost.

Starting at $22,155*
* = Less shipping, handling and engine charges
* = Must come with an engine preinstalled for a one time fee of $4,000

I like the tC. If I was on a budget and that was my option I'd take it and love it.
![]() 02/02/2014 at 00:22 |

I didn't even get mine for 30 grand!! If you can bargain with the dealers you can get one for 23k!
![]() 02/02/2014 at 00:26 |
|
The tC looks pretty good here, but you will not see people beating down the doors at dealerships to get one for $28K
![]() 02/02/2014 at 00:27 |
|
Hell no, not for 28k.
![]() 02/02/2014 at 08:06 |
|
must have been a typo on there part, they have it listed here at 28k with asterisks ***
and nothing about BRZ interior.

Leather trimmed seats, push start, bespoke audio, dual zone climate control, heated seats are all features that were only available on the BRZ. Do you really think the redesigned all that for a limited 2000 unit run? No, they pulled the premium parts from the BRZ parts bin.
![]() 02/02/2014 at 13:21 |

That's true, but I can also get a lightly used c5z for $23k =]. How's yours coming? You decide on what wheels to get yet?
![]() 02/02/2014 at 13:28 |
|
Did I decide on wheels. . . no. I can't. I want tires+wheels for around 1200 dollars. I might get these, but we will see. They are kind of heavy, and their offset isn't optimal.

The gunmetal would look pretty sweet. Good luck to you.

I am looking for a black, but oh yeah it would.

If the FR-S Monogram is the Toyota with the Subaru extras, can we expect a BRZ without them?
![]() 02/03/2014 at 01:20 |

It's called the BRZ RA. Japan only, stripped out, caged, ect...
$10k extra, just like Porsche does.
